West Lake Park... Paddling at Hollywood, FL

Located between Hollywood and Dania Beach, FL, this large urban park includes about 3 miles of mangrove preserve adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway. We learned about paddling at West Lake Park from FloridaRambler.com and visited the boat ramp and launch at the concession. We haven't paddled here yet but present this information for those who are interested. (Detailed map and photos below.)

Three paddling trails totalling 3 miles have been marked out through the mangrove. No motorized boats are allowed.

Launch your own vessel from the public boat ramp, or visit the concession for kayak, canoe, and paddleboard rentals.


West Lake Park

This popular park includes the Anne Kolb Nature Center, plus biking and walking trail, picnicking, ball courts, playground and splash pad, dock and fishing platform on Tarpon Lake. Parking is free during the week.
